DONATE TO ABERG CENTER FOR LITERACY
Aberg Center for Literacy helps its learners of all ages to Speak | Write | Connect through tuition-free educational programs and services. These services are essential to bridging the gap caused by income, language, and education level. Your contributions enable our students and their families to overcome these barriers and thrive in the greater Dallas community. Last year, with your help, Aberg Center served over 300 adults and children, but we don't want to stop there. Aberg Center for Literacy depends on your generous support to expand programs further and grow to meet the overwhelming need of the community.
Your support helps CHANGE LIVES and BUILD BETTER COMMUNITIES here in Dallas.
A STUDENT SHARES HER PERSONAL STORY
Meet Ana. She and her son have been participating in the family literacy program since 2013. While Ana attends ESL and Spanish Education classes, her son is learning early literacy and numeracy skills. Like all of our learners, Ana is grateful for the opportunity she and her son have to learn.
“I am so fortunate to belong to this program. I feel so different, more secure in who I am. I’m going to tell you a little about my progress. Before I came here, it made me sad to go to a store or any other place because I didn’t understand much English, but now it is different. My car battery died and beside me there was a person who spoke English. I communicated with him and he understood everything I said and helped me. There I realized my development; before I wouldn’t have been able to have done that. Aberg Center has impacted my life by increasing education for all of my family. I can speak and understand more English and help my son with his homework. Thank you.”
