Aberg Center for Literacy Honored with Grant from W.P. & Bulah Luse Foundation

On Thursday, April 13th the Aberg Center for Literacy was named the recipient of a generous grant from the W.P. & Bulah Luse Foundation, Bank of America, N.A., Co-Trustee.

The foundation was named after its namesakes W.P. and Bulah Luse.  From the Bank of America website:

The W.P. & Bulah Luse Foundation was established in 1947. Mr. Luse, a self-made wildcatter in the early Texas oilfields, and his wife Bulah created this foundation to support and promote quality education, human services and health care programming for underserved populations. Special consideration is given to charitable organizations that serve the people of Dallas, Texas, and its surrounding communities.

Recent recipients of the grant include Avance Dallas, Reading Partners Dallas, and the Dallas Furniture Bank.

The purpose of the grant is to fund Aberg Center's general operation costs. As the Aberg Center for Literacy program continues to expand, this grant will provide key support in areas such as staffing, class materials, rent and utilities, and operational equipment. With this generous gift, Aberg Center will be able to continue offering a high level of programming, and staff the adult and early childhood programs with the committed, experienced employees necessary to fulfill program outcomes.

Thank you to the W.P. & Bulah Luse Foundation for their continued support of the Dallas community.
