June 11, 2019—We are honored to share that the Carl B. and Florence E. King Foundation has awarded the Aberg Center for Literacy a generous grant of $35,000. This fund will support our Early Childhood Education Program. The grant provides key funding needed for program expansion and the subsequent staffing and material needs. With this generous support, we will be able to hire an additional teacher for the 2019-2020 school year. In the upcoming school year, we expect to serve 70 children in our Early Childhood Program and impact the lives of at least 300 more children who live in the households of adults in our programs.
