On Thursday, October 27th the Dallas Morning News presented the 2016 Legacy of Literacy Breakfast benefiting Aberg Center for Literacy.

The event was headlined by a keynote speech from Dallas ISD Superintendant Dr. Michael Hinojosa, and the presentation of the 2016 Aberg Advocacy Award to the host of KERA's Think Krys Boyd, for her sizable contributions to Aberg Center and literacy in North Texas.

The breakfast also featured presentations from Advocacy Council members Peter Aberg and Catherin Cuellar, Aberg Center Executive Director Shana Harrison, and Regina Montoya, Director of the Mayor's Taskforce on Poverty.

Thank you to everybody who attended, to the Dallas Morning News for presenting, and to our Gold, Silver and Bronze sponsors.
