On June 27, Aberg Center celebrated the graduation of 18 high school equivalency students. Our commencement speaker, Chief Energizing Officer Ellen Castro, reminded us of the important role of perseverance and self-love in overcoming our challenges and accomplishing new feats. Thank you to all of the volunteers and supporters who helped Class of 2019 achieve this major milestone. As always, many thanks to Sandy Bulow-Hube for her photography.
On June 28th Aberg Center for Literacy hosted our 2018 graduation, during which we celebrated the accomplishments of our GED graduates from the past year. Volunteers, family, and friends were on hand to cheer on our grads as they closed the book on another chapter of their lives, and opened the door to a new journey. Thanks as always to Sandra Bulow-Hube for providing these amazing photos!
On August 3rd, we celebrated our 2017 Graduate class with a special ceremony at the beautiful St. Matthew’s Cathedral.
On hand were all but two of the 9 graduates of our GED program, their friends & family, volunteers, and Aberg Center for Literacy staff.
The guest speaker for the event was Ellen Castro, who delivered an energetic commencement address focused on believing in yourself, the importance of education, and the power of choice.
Photos are by our amazing volunteer photographer Sandra Bulow-Hube, with additional photos provided by our Adult Program Manager.
Congratulations to all of our amazing graduates. Good luck with all your future endeavors.
Also, a special thank you to our volunteers and donors - without you such goals could not be accomplished.
